I dislike the fall & winter Happy birthday to the Boss

Why can't every day be 75 with a nice breeze. The older i get the crankier i have become with the weather around here. Here's what Dictionary.com has to say about dislike. to regard with displeasure, antipathy, or aversion: I dislike working. I dislike oysters.

Well i truly dislike the fall and winter times. I have been pretty close to just packing up my stuff getting a U-haul and moving to San Diego. It's almost always 75 with a nice breeze and great beaches to hang out at. If any tells me we have nice beaches here i just about die with laughter. that's all I'm going to say about fall and winter for now.

Happy Birthday today to Bruce Springsteen. He's 59 and still kicking butt. Everyone has a favorite song mine is The Streets of Philadelphia.

The T-birds opened up the season this past Friday and Saturday. They had a 10 or so bus trip to Prince George,BC. They lost both games which bummed me out a little bit. It's still early in the season of course. Lets see how things turn out this weekend as they still are on the road against Tri-Cites Friday and the The Everett Trailer Park team Saturday night. First home game isn't till the 4th of October against Spokane. Go Birds.

Bob Wilber who is the Pr/ Team Manager for Del Worsham's Nhra funny car team will be out of a job when the season ends. I have become a big fan of the CSK team. Checkers/Shucks/ Kragen was sold to O'REILLY auto stores this year. They decided to keep on sponsoring race and local racing series. So that means Del's team was looking for a sponsor. A great opportunity came along for Del to race for Allan Johnson next year. Del took the offer how could you not. Now Bob is out of a job at the end of the racing season. My gut says he won't be out of a job for long. He does a great job from what i can tell. Is a great guy in person. He even gave some great tips for my trip to Minneapolis this summer. I hope he lands with a great team or some place that will make him happy. Go to the Nhra web site and look for team CSK racing blog.

I will be attending another soccer game this weekend. From what I've been told the team has really improved in the last 10 days or so. They scored 5 goals which is way better then the 0 they scored the first time. I'm hoping Madison scores a goal. If she doesn't I'm hope she just has fun playing soccer. I wish i could get my nieces and nephew's to play sports. Oh well i enjoy going to Maple Valley to see my best bud and his family.

The picture up top is Madison and me at Skagit Speedway last summer. We had tons of fun that night laughing at her dad.

Are you a transplant or a native Seattleite?
It can't be 75 & breezy because that's just lame. Seattle is particularly great because we actually have seasons here – it’s not the same weather over & over. And no, we don’t get that much rain – Mobile, AL is the rainiest city in the US.
I love fall, I love the anticipation of winter, the crispness in the air that snaps you awake while waiting for the bus to come. I would much rather walk down the hill (James St in Seattle) in the fall & not sweat to death like I do in the summer. Even walking slowly down the hill in the summer, you sweat to death. Plus you don’t want to walk too slow – there are too many weirdos around & under the bridge it smells. Fall means: scarves, Pumpkin Spice lattes, North Face coats, red flushed cheeks, cozy nights, & flannel pjs (well maybe that’s more winter than fall).

The one thing we agree on is Pumpkin spice lattes. Yes im a native Seattleite. I used to really like the fsll and winter times. It hasn't been till the last 5 years or so that i have come to dislike it.
